Rap as a genre originated from dance music. Characteristic features: uneven rhythm, complex experiments with percussion, the presence of looped musical fragments. One of the main features of rap is the absence of vocals, which are replaced by the recitative. Rap is read as poetry, not sung. The main instruments are drums and a complex bass line, which often leads the solo. Often rap musicians use the scratch effect – the creaking of vinyl records.

Rap most likely originated from raguey, a dance style that originated in Jamaica. These two styles have a lot in common: the same jagged, jagged rhythm, the presence of looped musical fragments, the complex percussion.

Music, it has always existed since the advent of man. With the emergence of all kinds of human instruments.
Music accompanies us everywhere, everywhere in reality and even in dreams. Music is born in everything around us. Even our own breathing, when heard, can be thought of as tunes.

No event is imaginable without music. Music relaxes, uplifts, distracts from sadness and boredom. Music gives new life, it cures illnesses. Listening to music often becomes an art form. Music unites and connects.

Music is entertainment that is always at hand. It can be listened to everywhere, in the car, on the bus, on the train, on the street, at home, on TV, on the radio, even in the store when buying toys for the children. You can just sit in one place and listen to the music that plays in your ears. Modern technology allows you to listen to music while walking down the street or riding public transportation to class, work, or a meeting.

Music for some people is a way of life, a life in general. They live and breathe music, go to bed and wake up with it. People of music, musicians are so different from ordinary people that one can immediately point a finger at such people and unmistakably say: “that’s a musician.” Musicians differ in their unconventional appearance, behavior and views on everything. They are very interesting, but at the same time quite difficult to communicate, because they are not of this world. As any creative person, a musician is very vulnerable, he cannot forgive the fact that someone does not think like him.

A musician sees the world and those around him or her from different angles than the average person. Musicians of different kinds of music have very different views of the world around them. For example, a rocker sees the world in dark colors, while a pop singer sees it in pink. The hip-hop musicians tend to see everything and everyone in the world in poor colors. And so on.

Music is so diverse that sometimes it’s very hard to give the right direction to this or that song.
All people of all ages listen to and love music, but not all music. Some people listen only to pops and all other directions can’t stand it. And people who listen to rock or rap can’t stand pop or chanson. And there are people who don’t understand modern music, so they listen to retro, folk songs or classical music.
